Description
A mitochondria-targeting tetrapeptide, also identified in the literature as elamipretide. Its mechanism of action has been characterized as selective association with cardiolipin in the inner mitochondrial membrane, and it has been investigated in vitro and in animal models in relation to mitochondrial respiration and oxidative stress.
